Canadian sports pioneer Raymond Lanctôt was a passionate skier, runner and ski instructor. President of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, and distributor of the most prestigious ski brands, Mr. Lanctôt followed an impressive career path establishing a reputation that has grown and evolved since the 1950s.

Through his love of sports, Mr. Lanctôt contributed to the development of skiing, both in Canada and worldwide. We can quote among many other accomplishments, the foundation of one of the most famous ski schools for children, inspired by Walt Disney and designed to instil the love of skiing in children. He taught skiing across Canada from 1950 to 1980 and played an instrumental role in the first technical committee of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance. Moreover, Mr. Lanctôt helped build the sport of skiing to what it is today. He frequently traveled to Europe to teach skiing at a master’s level, and participated regularly in the World Congress of Skiing. His efforts helped Canada establish an international reputation in the world of skiing.

Honoured for his many accomplishments, Mr. Lanctôt`s biography is featured at the Canadian Ski Museum in Ottawa, the Laurentian’s Ski Hall of Fame and the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Hall of Fame. Raymond Lanctôt drew his inspiration from his love of sport, his quest for excellence, his spirit of innovation along with his desire to share it with others.
